Our fully virtual 2021 symposium features panels and presentations on cutting-edge issues, as well as our annual full-scale emergency drill, which will unfold in “real time.”

We’ll observe the corporate command center, the Go team, the family assistance response, media issues, and the whole spectrum of activities that occur after an accident/incident. We’ll explore the difficulties imposed by the “virtual” world in which we live, complicated by an event that occurs in a foreign country.

There is no cost to attend.

After you register, we’ll share our “flight checklist” on optimizing the virtual symposium experience.

The 2021 Aviation Symposium mobile app will enhance your virtual experience by providing the most current information on our program and speakers. Download it here and use the event ID “aviation21” to add this event to the app.

Symposium highlights:

  • David Copperfield, world-famous illusionist, will talk to us about “Where Did the Airplane Go?”
  • Dan Elwell, former Deputy FAA Administrator and Acting Administrator, who saw the FAA through the Boeing 737 MAX crisis and guided its response to COVID-19, will discuss 2020’s most impactful events.
  • The Honorable Jennifer Homendy, Member, National Transportation Safety Board, will discuss the operations of the NTSB in the current environment, as well as how the accident/investigation process will be affected going forward.
  •  “On Your Left is the Moon …” A panel discussion focused on how the experiences and practices of the airline industry are being adapted to the commercial space travel industry. Panelists will include representatives from the commercial space companies, the NTSB, the FAA and NASA.
